Participants and visitors alike can immerse themselves in an atmosphere free from modern interruption at quiet, wooded Forest Glen preserve.  Reenactors portraying British and rebellious forces take the field daily for demonstrations of their tactical prowess--who will win each battle? Reenactors are invited to participate in bayonet and tomahawk throwing competitions, with prizes for the winners.  In the evening, reenactors may gather in the tavern (a recreated log building) for cards and music. The Feast of the Hunters' Moon is a re-creation of the annual fall gathering of the French and Native Americans which took place Fort Ouiatenon, a fur-trading outpost in the mid - 1700s. It is held annually in early autumn on the banks of the Wabash River, four miles southwest of West Lafayette, Indiana.
