Brookfield, Illinois. The event site is located two blocks south of
Ogden Ave. between Sunnyside Ave. and Elm. Ave. Brookfield is a suburb of Chicago best know for the Brookfield Zoo. The event site is large enough to perform some excellent linier tactics and the location of the camp is perfectly level. Plenty of restaurants are close along with hotels and motels. It is an easy location to get to from the city and this event has the potential to draw a large number of spectators making it a great recruiting opportunity for the NWTA. Local vendors and organizations will be selling food (hot dogs, ice cream and stuff) during the event. Media coverage is planned and will be widespread throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area before the event. Suttlers, the potential for strong sales is great. |

Note: This is an excellent location just west of Chicago. Directions are as follows: From the North: Take 294 South to 55 toward Chicago. Get off at IL 171 (1st Avenue North, Brookfield Zoo Exit) and take to Ogden Ave. Go Left (West) on Ogden and take to Prairie Ave. Left on Prairie (South) and drive two blocks to Shields where you will go Right (West). Drive to Elm and Go Left (South) you will see signs directing you to event registration. From the South: Take 294 North to 55 toward Chicago. Amenities (Firewood, straw, water, restroom facilities etc…) plus
$5.00 script to a local grocery store per participant. Please
pre-register all participants including children to receive script and
straw. It is best to register by unit but it is ok to register by
individual.
